Environmental Energy Consultants delivers hands-on training that exceeds industry standards, emphasizing the fundamentals of building science. With a "whole-house-as-a-system" approach, our comprehensive courses cover air sealing, weatherization, combustion safety, HVAC diagnostics, and indoor air quality, all aligned with relevant BPI technical standards.

We maintain small class sizes to provide individualized attention, ensuring that every student fully understands the material and is well-prepared to excel in the field. Our trainers are dedicated beyond the classroom, offering ongoing support to students as they advance in their energy-related careers.

    • Diagnostic test equipment used for training and field exams (You are welcome to bring or ship your personal tools in advance if you'd prefer)

  • Your first attempt at the written and field exam(s) for BPI certifications is included in the price of your course.

    Field exam(s) are scheduled on an individual student basis with one of our BPI Certified proctors.

  • Neither exam proctors nor Environmental Energy Consultants determine whether a candidate passes or fails BPI written or field exams. This determination is made by BPI.

  • At EEC, we are a small team of three, each with a family. We take pride in providing a personalized educational experience and ongoing support to our students. Last-minute transfers and cancellations significantly impact our ability to operate effectively. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to honoring the following policies:

    Confirmation:
    Due to limited availability, we cannot guarantee a course seat until payment is made in full. We encourage purchasers to use the online payment method for “immediate confirmation.”

    Transfers:
    Students may transfer their registration to an open seat in a future course by submitting a “Transfer Request Form.” There are no fees for transfer requests made 30 or more days before the course start date.

    Refunds:

    • A 100% refund (less processing fees) will be granted for cancellation requests made at least 30 days before the course start date.

    • A 50% refund (less processing fees) will be granted for transfer or cancellation requests made up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the course start date.

    • No refunds will be granted for transfer or cancellation requests made within 14 days of the course start date.

    We do not offer refunds for virtual/digital courses, services, or similar products.

    Instruction on the use of ORNL’s Weatherization Assistant computer energy modeling software program.

    Course will cover:

    Site data collection

    Client data input

    Building components data input

    Mechanical equipment data input

    Report generation and results analysis

    Pre- / Post-retrofit heating/cooling load analysis

    Energy saving measure economics results analysis

    Savings to Investment Ratio (SIR)

    Utilities cost calculation

    Measure library cost calculation

    Work Scope generation

    Relevant programmatic requirements and documentation

  2. Enter attendee (and your) information (if applicable).

  3. Receive your invoice within 48 hours.

  4. Submit payment via ACH, credit, debit, or check.

  5. Payment must be received at least 30 days prior to the course start date to confirm registration.

  6. Once payment is complete, you will receive a paid receipt and confirmation.

The attendee will also receive a calendar invite and detailed instructions to access the course page, including comprehensive preparation information.

Note: For this method, attendee information is entered now and an invoice is generated and sent for payment within 48 hours. Registration is confirmed when payment is received.

Pay Online and Let Attendees Register Later:

  3. Receive paid receipt immediately.

  4. Receive Course Code Email w/ checkout code and directions for “self-registration” in a follow up email within 48 hours.

  5. Forward the Course Credit Code Email email to attendee.

  6. Attendee(s) visit the website to register and pay using their “course credit code” at checkout.

The attendee will also receive a calendar invite and detailed instructions to access the course page, including comprehensive preparation information.
